Design is a way to control creativity, expressing it through rational objectivity. My name is Giorgia Di Dio, I am a graphic designer based in Glasgow. I began a new life in Scotland about three years ago and I’ve been, for the last two years, focusing on the importance of colour, and how visual communication could say more than an actual conversation. In my practice, I mainly use abstract shapes art and constructivism combined with a mixture of ink, print, and Photoshop. Design is more sociological than it appears: it is not just about following trends. Self-expression is the medium everybody should use to embrace their individuality and visual communication is the key to make it understandable.
